Terms of Service

Last updated July 15, 2026

Template notice: this is a starting point, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before publishing it live, particularly the liability, refund, and account-suspension sections.

These terms govern use of the SafeFamily platform: the SafeFamily parent app, the SafeKid child app, and the account you create to use them.

Who can create an account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your region, to create a SafeFamily parent account. The account holder must have legal parental or guardian authority over any child profile they create.

What you're agreeing to use this for

SafeFamily is intended for parents and guardians to supervise devices belonging to their own minor children, with those children's knowledge. Using SafeFamily to monitor a device belonging to an adult, or to a child who isn't yours to supervise, without proper authority, is a violation of these terms and may violate the law in your jurisdiction.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout (monthly or yearly) until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the Subscription screen in the parent app; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact Support.

Plan limits

Each plan has a maximum number of child profiles and paired devices, shown on the pricing page. Exceeding your plan's limit requires upgrading before adding another child or device.

Account suspension

We may suspend an account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or activity that risks the security of the platform or other families' data. Where practical, we'll notify the account holder of the reason.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Location, screen-time enforcement, and app blocking depend on the child device's connectivity, OS permissions, and (on iOS) Apple's Screen Time entitlement — features may be delayed or unavailable if any of these aren't met.

Limitation of liability

SafeFamily is a supervision aid, not a guarantee of a child's safety or whereabouts at every moment. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for outcomes arising from reliance on location data, screen-time enforcement, or content filtering being incomplete, delayed, or unavailable.

Changes to these terms

We'll notify the account holder by email before a material change to these terms takes effect.
